Students attend their local centre to study under the guidance of a trained Kumon Instructor once or twice a week, and stay for about half an hour per visit to class. The Kumon Method aims to increase self-confidence, develop students' ability to learn for themselves and nurture a love of learning. Calculators are not used in Kumon.
