The Birmingham And Midland Museum Of TransportChapel Lane Birmingham B47 6JX Tel: 01564826471 The museum opened in 1980 and today its two halls accommodate around 100, buses coaches, fire engines and battery-electric vehicles from all parts of the Midlands and beyond. The collection of preserved Midland 'Red' buses is particularly important because the company built its own buses for half a century. The museum believes it has the largest collection of restored battery-electric vehicles in the world.
