The Belfast Institute, is the largest provider of further education in Northern Ireland. It has 43,000 students on courses ranging from basic literacy and numeracy through all vocational and academic areas at all levels to degree and degree equivalent. Of these, 20,000 are on adult and community education courses provided in over 140 outcentres across the city
